Welcome First-Time Attendees!

We’re very pleased you have chosen to attend the ACHA Annual Meeting for the first time. We hope it exceeds your expectations and provides you with actionable strategies and tools to take back to your campus.

We realize that the meeting can be overwhelming, especially when attending for the first time. With more than 1,900 attendees, 150 educational sessions, 50 posters, 80 exhibitors, and 65 special events, networking sessions, and meetings it is difficult to know how to prioritize your week.

Here are some considerations as you plan your meeting experience:

  • To help you navigate the meeting, plan to attend the Newcomers’ Orientation on Wednesday morning prior to the Opening General Session. Participants will be seated at tables hosted by an ACHA leader who is knowledgeable about the meeting. They will facilitate the conversation and are there to answer your questions. There will also be a reference guide available at your table.
  • Fully utilize the meeting app and the Attendee Meeting Planner (both coming soon). We will provide a condensed session listing on-site, but you will need to rely on the app or the website for information on speakers, learning objectives, and descriptions of special events and networking opportunities.
  • Consider engaging in your section or affiliate meeting or attending a coalition meeting that interests you (refer to the meeting app or the website for details). Meetings are open to all registered attendees.
  • Make sure you take the time to explore the Exhibit Hall. More than 80 exhibitors will be on hand to showcase their innovative products or services. Breakfast will be available in the hall on Thursday and Friday mornings, and there will be a refreshment break on Wednesday afternoon. Also take advantage of the complimentary seated massage.
  • If you are new to college health and well-being or just looking for a mentor, sign up for the Mentoring Program. One-on-one mentoring sessions will take place throughout the day on Thursday.
  • Let the ACHA staff know if you have any questions about the meeting or about ACHA’s programs, products, services, or resources. We’re here to help!
