Welcome First-Time Attendees!
We’re very pleased you have chosen to attend the ACHA Annual Meeting for the first time. We hope it exceeds your expectations and provides you with actionable strategies and tools to take back to your campus.
We realize that the meeting can be overwhelming, especially when attending for the first time. With more than 1,800 attendees, 150 educational sessions, 80 posters, 80 exhibitors, and 65 special events, networking sessions, and meetings it is difficult to know how to prioritize your week.
Here are some considerations as you plan your meeting experience.
Attend the Newcomer's Orientation
To help you navigate the meeting, plan to attend the Newcomers’ Orientation on Wednesday morning. Participants will be seated at tables hosted by an ACHA leader who is knowledgeable about the meeting. They will facilitate the conversation and are there to answer your questions. There will also be a reference guide available at your table.
Use the Digital Meeting Program & Planner
The full meeting program of sessions and events will be digital-only. The Meeting Program & Planner will be available two ways -- via the meeting mobile app or online (both coming soon). You will need to rely on this tool for information on session speakers and learning objectives, and descriptions of special events and networking opportunities.
Attend Section, Affiliate, or Coalition Meetings
Consider engaging in your section or affiliate meeting or attending a coalition meeting that interests you (refer to the Meeting Program and Planner for details). Meetings are open to all registered attendees.
Explore the Exhibit Hall
Make sure you take the time to explore the more than 80 exhibitors that will be on hand to showcase their innovative products or services. Breakfast will be available in the hall on Thursday and Friday mornings, and there will be a refreshment break on Wednesday afternoon. Also take advantage of the complimentary seated massage.
Reach out to ACHA Staff
Let the ACHA staff know if you have any questions about the meeting or about ACHA’s programs, products, services, or resources. We’re here to help!
