Help Build Community by Facilitating an Affinity Space
We’re looking for volunteers to facilitate and guide discussion for two affinity spaces. Note that facilitators will not be listed in any meeting materials. If we are unable to identify facilitators, we will still offer the spaces for informal gatherings at the dates and times below. If you are interested in volunteering, contact education@acha.org.
Thursday, 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
BIPOC Affinity Group
Affinity groups are spaces where individuals with shared identities come together for discussions and reflections. These spaces are for you to speak about your own identity, not to learn about the racial or ethnic identity of others.
Thursday, 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
LGBTQIA2S+ Community Space
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Two Spirit, Plus (LGBTQIA2S+) identifying ACHA colleagues are invited to gather for some community care. Join us in a radically inclusive space where we can just be. Enjoy a calming atmosphere with self-guided activities.
Do Well-Being Your Way!

These activities provide a chance to challenge your physical and emotional self in the same way you stretch your intellectual muscles during educational sessions. So take a break from classroom learning and don’t be afraid to try something new!
