Mentoring: Make a Connection with a Colleague
Why should you take advantage of the opportunity to meet with a mentor while you’re at ACHA?
- Skill Development: Acquire new skills and knowledge through the guidance and expertise of your mentor.
- Career Advancement: Gain valuable insights into career paths, helping you make informed decisions and navigate your professional journey.
- Networking Opportunities: Gain access to your mentor’s professional network, opening doors to new opportunities and connections.
- Problem Solving: Mentors can offer different perspectives, providing valuable insights and solutions to help you navigate through challenges.
Still not sure? Here’s what a former mentee said about their experience:
“ACHA stands out as the most inclusive organization I’ve ever been a part of. If you’re new to ACHA, one of the best ways to plug in is by requesting a mentor. I’ve had numerous mentors over the years who eventually became friends, and I’ve had the privilege of mentoring many others.”

Volunteer to be a Session Presider or Facilitator
ACHA presenters need your help!! They rely on presiders and facilitators to assist them during their presentations. This is a great way to meet colleagues and it does not require you to commit a great deal of time. For more information, check out the short instructional video and guidelines.
92% of 2024 presiders and facilitators responding to a survey said they would volunteer for this role if asked again. If you are interested in serving as a presider or facilitator in Atlanta, contact education@acha.org.
