ACHA Use of Your Personal Data
With the exception of the instance described below, personal data collected by ACHA via attendee’s use of the meeting registration site, mobile app, online meeting program, and/or attendee networking tool is reserved for use by ACHA to communicate with attendees, manage and analyze the usage of websites and digital tools, or for other current or future ACHA marketing and communications to meeting attendees. ACHA does not share your data with other attendees, exhibitors, or outside companies except as follows:
- Registration Data: ACHA will furnish exhibiting and sponsoring companies an attendee mailing list two times, each for one-time use only. The data shared includes name, degree, school, mailing address, and area of practice. No phone numbers or emails are shared. Your information will be included on this list to all exhibitors and sponsors unless you opted out (at the time of registration) of having your information shared with ACCME-defined ineligible companies. If you opted out, your information will be shared only with those companies that do not meet this definition.
Data Shared with Exhibitors With Your Permission
When you take the following actions, your information will be shared as described and you are granting permission for the company to contact you. Once shared, you will be subject to the exhibiting company’s communications and privacy policies and must opt-out with them directly.
Scanning Your Name Badge QR Code
With your permission only, exhibitors may scan the QR code on your name badge or manually input your confirmation ID number and they will be provided your name, degree, title, company, address, phone number, email address, and area of practice.
Actions within the Meeting Program & Planner (via the mobile app or online)
When you create a My Planner account, you will be asked whether or not to share your information with exhibitors via the planner. If you select yes, the following will apply.
A limited number of exhibitors have upgraded features on their booth profile page which include the ability to collect online leads. You’ll recognize which companies these are if, under their booth’s Contact Us section, there are images for profile pictures of company representatives and you see the ability to add those contacts to your planner.
For those companies only, if you take one of the following actions, you are giving your permission to share your personal information with the exhibiting company.
- Favorite their booth
- Add a company contact to your planner
- Download/view their product images or other collateral
The information that will be shared includes your name, title, company, email, phone number, address, and which of their collateral you may have accessed.
Attendee Networking/Chat Data
No data is shared when using Attendee Networking/Chat. This includes data from attendee-to-attendee, attendee-to-exhibitor, or vice versa. Remember that you can choose which attendee types you’d like to be able to chat with you. To update these preferences, login to MyPlanner and go to Attendee Networking/Profile.
